The Company was originally named "Changzhou Changgong Electronic Instrument Co., Ltd.", established in 1992 as a research-oriented university-affiliated enterprise by Changzhou Institute of Technology. In 1998, foreign investment was introduced, leading to the formation of "常州太平洋自動化技術(shù)有限公司" In May 2008, it was renamed "常州帕斯菲克自動化技術(shù)有限公司"(The English name is Changzhou Passfic Automation Technology Co., Ltd.), and in June 2012, it was restructured into a joint-stock company.

Pacific is a national high-tech enterprise in the field of intelligent power measurement and control, as well as a Jiangsu Provincial "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" (SRDI) Little Giant Enterprise, the member of the Jiangsu Power Transmission and Distribution Equipment Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, the recommended supplier for power grid construction and renovation projects nationwide, and the participant in the National Joint Design Group for Energy-Efficient Busway Systems.
